🏫 BACK TO SCHOOL: Which #11 seed is favored over a #6 seed?

🔥 EXPERT PICKS: We have two NBA best bets to kick off the week

📜 MAKING HISTORY: R64 total may be tourney’s highest since ’95

💰 BIG WIN: How one bettor turned $6 into a nice payday in the NBA

Did you know that Tom Izzo is only 24-23-1 against the spread in men's basketball tournament games since 2006?

One tip to having the edge of your friends and coworkers when filling out your bracket? Pick “upsets” where the worse-seeded team is actually favored in betting markets 👀.

Here are the five games that fit this bill for later this week.

#9 Michigan State -1.5 (-110) over #8 Mississippi State
The Spartans went from a preseason top-5 team to a No. 9 seed, but can Tom Izzo turn it around in March once again?

#9 TCU -3.5 (-110) over #8 Utah State
Utah State was in the opposite situation last season when the No. 10-seeded Aggies were 1-point favorites over No. 7 Missouri, but lost in the Round of 64.

#10 Nevada -1 (-110) over #7 Dayton
The Flyers have zero wins against at-large teams in the field, while Nevada has six 🤔.

#10 Drake -2 (-110) over #7 Washington State
We love Cinderellas in March, but a Pac-12 team making a deep run in its final season would be quite fun too.

#11 New Mexico -1.5 (-110) over #6 Clemson
This line feels like an indictment on the committee since New Mexico wouldn’t have even made the tournament if it didn’t win the Mountain West tournament.

Ariel Epstein and Ryan Elmalem are each looking to start off the week on the right foot with their top NBA player prop of the day.

Cavaliers C Jarrett Allen Over 11.5 Rebounds (-115) [7 p.m. ET]
“Since Evan Mobley got hurt on March 6, Allen is averaging 12.2 rebounds per game. The Pacers are allowing the 10th-most rebounds per game since the ASB and four of the last five opposing centers have reached 12+ boards against Indiana.”

Timberwolves F Kyle Anderson Under 22.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-115) [9 p.m. ET]
“Against a weak Jazz defense, Anderson was only able to accumulate 18 PRA on Saturday and failed to add to his tally of 2/64 games this season of 23+ PRA. Facing off against Utah again, even possibly without KAT and Rudy Gobert, I like the under based on his history.”

Spreads certainly get most of the attention when the odds are released for Thursday and Friday’s games of the men’s basketball tournament. But what about a historic total?

No. 13 Charleston vs. No. 4 Alabama opened with a total of 168.5, which was the highest on the board for any tournament game. Since then, it has shot all the way up to 173.5 🎆.

If it were to close at 173 or higher, Charleston-Alabama would have the highest total of any men’s basketball tournament game since 1995, per Action Network.

There aren’t many better ways to start off a weekend with a beautiful parlay hit.

One Illinois bettor turned $6 into more than $1,000 with just three legs from last Friday’s NBA action. And it wasn’t a real sweat 😅 either—the latest cash on any leg was Grayson Allen’s fourth three-pointer just 18 seconds into the fourth quarter.
