Week 4 is one of the biggest college football slates all season. We’ve circled three spreads in particular that have gotten interesting early action, and brought in trader Will Radice to get his thoughts 💭 on these lines.
SPREAD: Ohio State (-3.5) @ Notre Dame
EARLY ACTION: Notre Dame 70.4% tickets, 92.1% handle
ASK THE TRADER: It’s not a surprise that Notre Dame has gotten the most handle to cover this week against perennial contender Ohio State. Transfer QB Sam Hartman has exceeded all expectations in South Bend, leading the Irish ☘️ offense to 40+ points in all four games. This is Ohio State’s first big test this season, and the Buckeyes don’t have the elite QB play they’ve been accustomed to in recent years.
SPREAD: Colorado @ Oregon (-21)
EARLY ACTION: Colorado 91.4% tickets, 94.8% handle
ASK THE TRADER: Colorado was fortunate to get past Colorado State, and now betting markets have decreased confidence in the Buffaloes 🦬 keeping things close against elite competition. Two-way star Travis Hunter is out for a few weeks as well. But we’re not expecting action to slow down against the Ducks—Colorado was also getting around three touchdowns to TCU before pulling off the upset.
SPREAD: Florida State (-1.5) @ Clemson
EARLY ACTION: Florida State 87.5% tickets, 93.5% handle
ASK THE TRADER: This line probably would have been a field goal if FSU continued its early-season momentum against Boston College. Instead, the Seminoles edged out a 2-point win, as their defense got carved up and Jordan Travis got hurt. Now it’s only FSU -1.5 with Clemson’s offense looking much better under new OC Garrett Riley after struggling mightily against Duke.
