Who doesn’t love an upset in March?

We took a look at the most popular underdog 🐶 moneyline bets by tickets and handle, with No. 11 NC State leading the way in both categories against No. 6 Texas Tech.

Why is this the case? We asked college basketball trader Shank Subramani.

ASK THE TRADER: We’re definitely seeing early on that our new North Carolina bettors love supporting their teams. NC State is also coming off an amazing run to win the ACC tournament and people seeing that on national TV has led them to picking another upset for the Wolfpack again here. Who doesn’t want to root for DJ Burns? Texas Tech could be down its top big man Warren Washington, which could lead to a big game once again from Burns.

EXPERT PICKS

Both Ariel Epstein and Ryan Elmalem nailed their best bets last night, so let's keep the streak going!

THE PROP QUEEN

Colorado -3 (-110) vs. Boise State [9:10 p.m. ET]
"The red-hot Buffs have won eight of their last nine games and can match Boise's size on the perimeter. Boise's defense has been brutal in transition, which will lead to easy Colorado points."

THE GRAPHICS GUY

SGP: Tyrese Haliburton Over 19.5 Points + Pacers Win (+110) [7 p.m. ET]
"Tyrese has addressed his shooting slump following the Pacers' recent loss to the Cavs, but I think this game against a bottom-5 Pistons defense presents a great opportunity to bounce back. He's put up more than 22 PPG against the Pistons in their last four meetings and the Pacers should not struggle to get the W on top of that."

Fanatics Sportsbook | PB data and insights

OPENING TIP: 9:10 p.m. ET

MAKING MOVES: Colorado opened as a 2-point favorite in the final play-in game in this year’s tournament and has since been bet up to -3 over Boise State. The total hasn’t seen as much movement so far, creeping up slightly from 140 to 140.5.

TOP PROP: Colorado forward Tristan da Silva over 4.5 rebounds has drawn the most handle of any player prop for Colorado-Boise State. The Buffaloes’ 🦬 big man is bringing down 5.2 rebounds per game this season but has only grabbed 15 boards in his past five contests.

Sam Burns Top 20 at Valspar Championship: -125

Burns is one of the best when it comes to courses with difficult scoring opportunities, and every Par 4 and Par 3 at Innisbrook historically plays over par. Not only is Burns in great form this year with four top 10’s year in 7 events, but he also won the Valspar consecutive times in ’21 and ’22 along with finishing in sixth last year. A Top 20 would be the conservative play this week.
